Andrea Wilson is a multi-disciplinary creative from the south Florida area with a BA from the University of Florida in Public Relations and a minor in Graphic Design. She is passionate about rural revitalization, civic technology and sustainability. Andrea found her passion for human-centered design after taking her first design thinking class at the University of Florida in the fall of 2019. After her experience within the discipline, she found herself with a clear career path of progressive problem solving.
Andrea is currently involved with several non-profit organizations including Cultivating Community, a community shared agriculture program employing refugees as farmers, World Laughter Tour, an educational program for laughter therapy, and Blue Sky Communities, a low-income housing firm. Beyond these side projects, she is building a mental health AI companion with urspace and designing a smart home application with MindHome. Andrea founded Rowdy Magazine, a youth-run publication dedicated to bringing awareness to the power of millennials in social justice and activism at the University of Florida. Andrea has experience working in fashion public relations, previously working at Pyer Moss, the 2018 CFDA/Vogue Fashion Fund winner as an emerging talent.
